Big, Little News

Okay, so last time I told you I have some big, little news to share. Mommy had asked me a few days ago if I wanted to go bye-bye and see Nana. Well as you all know I loooove going to see Nana, so we jumped in the car and headed off. As soon as we walked in the door Nana handed something to mommy, it looked like it was about the size of a treat. Then mommy held it up and started talking in those high pitch annoying sounds that she does to me when I go potty outside. I wonder why mommy would be talking silly to a treat. She set the treat down for me and I about fell over dead because it was MOVING! WALKING! IT HAd FUR! I couldn't believe it. I had never seen a puppy that little! I didn't know whether I should chew on it or play with it! Mommy says her name is Maggie Mae and she's a Yorkshire Terrier. I still think she looks like a treat that barks and plays.

My First Time Swimming!:

My mommy and I met some friends at the lake last week. Everyone was in the water but me! I was kind of scared and I didn't want to leave the shore. Well when my boyfriend Neo got in to play too I felt really lonely. I wandered into the water until it was at my knees and then hurried back to shore. I just wanted to test it out and it didn't seem too bad. I saw mommy out there, just looking like she needed a sweet puppy like me to play with, so I just decided to go for it! Well I didn't realize that I wouldn't be able to walk all the way to her. All of the sudden there was nothing under my feet! AHHHH! I swam and swam until I got to mommy. She gave me lots of love and told me how proud she was of me. I just don't know if I'll be doing that again. We'll have to wait and see. Mommy says she wish she had gotten it on video. She said that knowing her she would have dropped the camera in the water.

10 Lessons I've learned since comming home:

1. The word "NO" doesn't mean stop for now and then go back to it again later.

2. If mommy says certain words like "sit" and then I do it, I GET A TREAT! Yum Yum.

3. I am not 2lbs and Maggie Mae is not 75lbs (we both learned that lesson the hard way).

4. Cats smell funny

5. If i want to take a nap and get away from Murphy, I just have to go to my kennel in mommy's room. Murphy isn't allowed.

6. The neighbor lady is CRAZY! (seriously, stay away from her..she told mommy she wanted to kidnap me)

7. Hardwood floors are hard to stop on if you're going fast (heck, even if you're going slow).

8. Never EVER potty on Wade's hand-made rugs

9. Water isn't always shallow and swimming is hard! (I learned that at the lake last week when I wanted to be with mommy in the water.)

10. Baths aren't too bad if you're outside and the temperature is 102 degrees.

Talk to you all soon! Much puppy loves! MUAH!

Oh Evie, we have a fluffy toy like that in our family too - her name is Coco! Wow - she sure was barrelling into you while you were playing with your ball on the floor, wasn't she?!

Re: #6... I think my girl must be crazy because she wants to kidnap you and take you home with her because you're so cute and she LOOOVES boxers. I wouldn't mind though; we'd have a lot of fun playing together!!!

Hi Evie. You sure are a cute little button of a Boxer! I'm a Boxer too. I've never gone swimming and I think I'd be very scared of the water because I even jump out of the bathtub... my poor mom has to tackle 65 pounds of wet dog every time!! Come see me at my blog and we can be buddies: www.boxerdogblog.blogspot.com. See ya there.xxx

Hi Evie! I know how Maggie Mae feels. I have a friend, Angelus, who is a Scotish Wolfhound. I seem to be his favorite chew toy. That's okay I can give as good as I get. It makes Angelus' mom laugh when we play rough together. She keeps saying I'm "brilliant."

Congratulations on the swimming. Just goes to show, you never know what you can do until you're called upon to do it!
